The course lasted 30 hours total, with the support of the company Varian Ibérica and organization of the General Foundation of the University of Alcalá. The course was attended by 22 students from different public and private companies: Provincial Delegation of Health, BERNA-BIOTECH, ENERGY, Department of Health of Vigo, CEGASA, Diputación de Toledo, Immunologic Center of Alicante, Tolsa, Canarian Institute of Marine Sciences, Elcogas, University of León, Laboratory of the Townhall of Albacete, INESCOP, Chemistry Laboratory “la Marañosa”, CIEMAT, University Rey Juan Carlos, Spanish Geological and Mining Institute, Center for Research and Quality Control.
VI Course of Liquid Chromatography coupled to Mass Spectrometry as an analytical tool. - Dr. Antonio Crego Navazo organized together with Dr. José Luis Novella, technical director of the Fine Chemical Pilot Plant of the University of Alcalá, the VI Course of Liquid Chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry as analytical tool, in this pilot plant between May and June 2006. Dr. Crego also participated as lecturer in that course which had the collaboration of Agilent Technologies and the support of the Fundación General de la Universidad de Alcalá. The course lasted 25 hours. It was attended by 16 students from different public and private companies: Universidad de Alcalá, Generalitat de Catalunya, ALKEMI SA NEUROPHARMA, LABORATORIOS DR. ESTEVE, NATYSAL, SA, Laboratorio Salud Pública Comunidad de Madrid, Instituto del Frío (CSIC), INKE SA LABORATORIOS Rovio, IMIDRA, Hospital Clínic, Boehringer Ingelheim.
Dr. Maria Luisa Marina Alegre was responsible for the doctoral course named Advances and New Trends in High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), held between March and April 2006 within the doctoral program of Chemistry at the University of Alcalá. Dr. Marina also participated as lecturer in the course along with Drs. Navazo Antonio Crego, Maria Angeles Garcia Gonzales, María Concepción García López Ruiz and Carmen Garcia. This doctoral course lasted 50 hours (5 credits) of which 40 hours were devoted to theoretical and 10 hours to completion of 3 laboratory practices. The students who conducted the workshop came from different departments of sciences at the University of Alcalá: Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.
Dr. Maria Luisa Marina Alegre is the responsible for the doctoral course in Advanced methodologies in Electrophoretic Techniques taught during the 2005-2006 academic year under the Interuniversitary program with Quality mention "Analytical Chemistry." This doctoral course lasted 40 hours (4 credits) of which 30 are theoretical and 10 practical and was conducted in June 2006 by Dr. Maria Luisa Marina Alegre, Antonio Navazo Crego, Maria Angeles Garcia Gonzalez and Carmen Garcia Ruiz, all researchers belonging to ANALISYC program. The students who conducted the course came from the three universities participating in the Doctoral Program of Quality with the University of Alcalá, Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad de Castilla la Mancha.
The Analytical Chemistry Group of the UCM has organized the Workshop on arsenic speciation (UCM, 6-7 February 2006) and the Training Course Speeding up sample treatment in speciation (UCM, 21-22 March 2006), both sponsored by EVISA and the Community of Madrid.

The Groups of Analytical Chemistry of the University Complutense and of Alcalá de Henares have participated, along with the University of Castilla La Mancha, in the course of Doctorate with Quality mention Analytical Chemistry.
Prof. C. San Jose (Fac. Veterinaria, UCM) is a lecturer in charge of the subject Food Chemistry and Biochemistry (1st degree courses in Food Science and Technology of the UCM, 7 credits, 119 students in 2006). Tutor of laboratory practice. She also participated in the Master of Food Safety of the College of Veterinarians, and the following courses organized by the Ministry of Health and Consumption of the Community of Madrid:

Food Packaging: Technology and Healthcare Risk Control (2-6 oct. 2006).
Cleaning and Disinfection in the Food Industry (13-17 nov. 2006).
The open learning course entitled Environmental Toxicology, has been given by the group of the Department of Analytical Sciences of the UNED. The course was developed by the TIC’s (Information and Communication Technologies) virtualized in Virtual Community placed on Platform ALF2 at the UNED.
The group of Instrumental Analysis and Environmental Chemistry IQOG (CSIC) has provided a specialized course about the Combination GC-MS, and two on the LC-MS coupling (16-18 October 2006 and 23-25 October 2006), organized by the Training Department of the CSIC, in collaboration with the ANALISYC program, for technical staff of the CSIC.

The program ANALISYC organizes the theoretical-practical course entitled New methodologies for the analysis of xenobiotics in food to be held in Madrid from 17 to 19 September 2007. It will address the knowledge and basic aspects of sample preparation for analysis of organic xenobiotics, metals(/oids) and organometallics in food; knowledge and basic aspects of chromatographic analysis of organic xenobiotics, knowledge and basic tools for the instrumental analysis of metals(/oids) and organometallics. It is aimed at graduates and technician who has a medium or low experience. The number of places is limited to 16 and admission will be conducted by order of registration. Its length was 24 hours and was conducted in two locations: Instituto de Química Orgánica General, CSIC (Madrid) and the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the UCM (Madrid).
