The key concepts will be explained to decide what kind of analysis is more correct, understand and correctly interpret the results of the statistical analysis and how to present them in scientific articles.

The attendees will gain knowledge in a new cutting edge technique called ion mobility spectrometry (IMS), this technique has great potential for the analysis of compounds of very different nature, emphasizing the analysis of explosives, drugs and biomolecules, among others. Part of the course will be devoted to introducing the basic concepts of multivariate analysis (PCA, LDA, etc.) In order to obtain maximum information from the spectra obtained.
